The Department of Engineering Education was formed in June 2019. The department specializes in engineering education research and the delivery of innovative and effective instructional methods in engineering courses, as well as assessment. Faculty design and teach engineering courses that span multiple majors using methods that promote conceptual understanding and student retention, performing research into the effectiveness of learning methods, while continually striving to improve and adapt course content and delivery methods to serve students and faculty throughout the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering.
The department offers the Master of Science degree with a major in Applied Data Science and the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees with majors in Engineering Education. Minimum requirements for these degrees are given in the Graduate Degrees Section of this catalog.
